The Little Signers Group has been set up to provide Sign Language and Deaf Awareness courses to children aged between 4 and 16 years and to provide support to hearing children of deaf families, by aiding communication with their families.
They can also provide information to parents about Baby Signing (an introduction to sign language for babies from birth to 4 years)
The Little Signers Group provide:
*After school classes for schools.
*Assistance with Badge work for Brownies and Guide, Beavers and Scouts as well as any other clubs.
*Baby Signing Classes
*Family Signing Classes
*Sign Language Class for Children
*Road show (Promote Sign Language, Babaysigning and Deaf awareness)
*Educational materials in relate to B.S.L
Little Signers Group can visit schools to provide Sign Language or Deaf awareness classes to children age between 5 and 16yrs.
The children are taught by qualified sign language teachers and assistants. The classes are very visual and work by using associated signs to make learning easier.
children age under 11yrs will received a certificate of Achievement as they progress.
Children age over 12yrs can study towards a recognised qualification in British Sign Language and Deaf awareness.
The After School club can be taken during lunch time or in class time or after school hours. It is normally for 1 hour.
A taster course lasting 1 hour can be arranged.
